Well the wedding venue is booked and now it’s come to that time to decide on your wedding stationery.

“Mmmm” I hear you say, you’ve decide the colour but just really don’t know where to go from there.

Well I’m going to show you a few pointers to get you on your way before you eventually decide on which stationery you’re going to opt for.

In this day and age many bridal couples are opting for the handmade wedding invites as opposed to the bog standard invitations you can buy at card shops etc.

Handmade wedding invites can be unique to you – they can be created to reflect your taste and vision, with your budget kept in mind.  And also you will not likely to find the same invite anywhere else.

The finishing touches of handmade wedding invites give lasting impressions and it’s the first glimpse your guest will have of the style and theme of your wedding.  Handmade wedding invitations are usually treasured by guests and have place of honour on their mantelpiece.

Lots of companies offer handmade invites with an enormous range, ranging from contemporary to traditional and usually have co-ordinate wedding stationery e.g. place cards, table plan, table number cards, favours, menus, rsvps, thank you cards etc etc.

One important factor to consider is to ensure you  have enough time to have your wedding invitations made well in advance.   Decide on a design and get them ordered about 4 months before the wedding so the company will have enough time to send you the proofs through and get them made in time for you to send them out.  Invitations are normally sent out to your guests about 8-10 weeks before the wedding.

In most instances wedding stationery can be adapted for couples celebrating civil partnerships and commitment ceremonies.

You may have considered making your wedding stationery yourself, but remember this, as much as it is rewarding to think that you have done them yourself, they are time consuming.  Can your time be spent elsewhere?

If for some reason the wedding venue is not finalised this information can be filled in by hand at a later date.
Made with high quality card and usually include envelopes

Handmade invitations are made to order and normally are non- returnable. It’s very important that you check the proofs thoroughly before they go to print.

Some companies sell invites individually and others sell in packs – in most cases it’s always wise to order a couple of extras just in case of guests unable to attend and possibly having to be replaced.

If you order your Wedding Stationery online then make sure you have a contact number so that you can discuss your requirements with them.

Don’t forget to leave feedback if you are pleased with your wedding stationery

And last but not least REMEMBER It’s Your Day, It’s All About You, It’s Your Wedding and it should reflect your tastes and interests.
